The Weight of Light

Light has weight. Not physical — experiential. The weight of a particular afternoon. The weight of a moment of unexpected clarity. Of three panels that together form a single field of amber and gold, each slightly different in its density, its temperature, its depth. Installed together they become something larger than their individual surfaces — an atmosphere, a sustained state. The text beneath the colour is everywhere and nowhere. Three voices speaking the same interior language, dissolved into luminosity. Stand before them long enough and the weight lifts.
