Golden edge

Golden Edge reflects on the idea of the threshold — the moment of transition where one state becomes another, where something begins and something else comes to an end. Within the larger body of work In Between The Lines, which explores pauses, fragments, and the space between moments, this work focuses on the idea of the edge as a psychological and temporal condition rather than a physical boundary.

An edge is never only a dividing line; it is also a meeting point. It is the place where two different conditions exist simultaneously — past and future, presence and absence, silence and sound, memory and reality. The edge is a moment of awareness, a moment where change becomes visible.

This work reflects on the human condition of constantly standing at such edges — between decisions, between memories and expectations, between what has already happened and what is about to happen. We are rarely fully in the past or fully in the future; we exist mostly in these in-between spaces, at these edges of time and thought.

The title Golden Edge suggests that these moments of transition are precious because they hold the possibility of change, understanding, and realization. It is at the edge where we are most aware of time, because we are able to see both where we are coming from and where we might be going.

The work therefore is not about a boundary, but about a moment of transformation — a quiet point of shift where something is ending, something is beginning, and for a brief moment, both exist together.
